17th Liquid and Amorphous Metals Conference (LAM-17)

Next LAM-17 will take place in Lyon, France, on August 26-30, 2019.

This new edition will be the opportunity for broadening the purposes of the conference series, encouraging the interdisciplinarity among different disordered materials fields. Additional  speakers expert on non-metallic materials, such as molecular glasses and colloids, will be invited for exploring the universality of the observed properties, and stimulating novel discussions among scientists from different communities. An accent will be given to advances from cutting-edge large facilities as synchrotron radiation, neutrons and free-electron lasers facilities, for encouraging the community in exploring the potential of these advanced techniques for progressing in the understanding of amorphous materials.

Please submit your abstract for orals and posters as soon as possible, and invite all your colleagues possibly intrested in sumitting. The LAM will be able to schedule about 80 orals, so we are looking forward for your contribution!

The Abstract deadline for oral and poster contributions to the 17th Liquid and Amorphous Metals Conference (LAM-17) is approaching: March 1st, 2019!

Papers presented at the conference may be published in a special issue of J. Phys. Cond. Matt. on the “state of the art of the physics of liquid and amorphous metals”. You will soon receive an invitation to submit your contribution to this special issue as well.

Further information is available on the Conference web page:

We look forward for receiving your contribution, which will undoubtedly help in making LAM-17 a memorable event.

We will make our best for helping you enjoy not only the conference but the city of Lyon as well, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and known as France’s gastronomic capital.
